THE DEPARTURE

once upon a time near the darkest sea,
there was a cold spring start.
the dead, muddy winter
has exhausted all the clouds,
the train was waiting
and he's packing up his clothes and guitar.

the fire inside, he feels like a cold river
which seems like freezing him,
he's hurrying up
because he can't bear the mess that 'rounds him,
the fire inside starts to burn
when he gets up the train.

his ears could hear a gentle sound,
a woman's voice singing a dead song.

on the corridor he stopped to get
another cigarette,
outside the window there was mud,
but a hundred meters later
the grass grew green.
the windows were dirty
and so was the green
but the green was so intense
that he fell asleep
with his head on the window
with his hair in the wind,
and the green was so intense
that he fell asleep...
